If your stubborn hair refuses to stay in place and you are sick and tired of damaging straightening with hot tools, The team at Rebecca Oates has the solution for you, with the Yuko permanent hair straightening system. This unique rebonding system restructures your hair leaving it silky, smooth and straight.
The Yuko Hair Straightening treatment physically alters the internal structure of each hair strand. Founded in Japan and now distributed globally, the protein-enriched straightening treatment offers silky smooth permanently straightened results which works on most hair types and requires little to no maintenance and styling. With this treatment forget about the tireless hours of damaging heat with blow drying and flat irons and say hello to easier manageable hair!
It sounds too good to be true but here’s the science behind the process. The straightening technology lies in the patented Aqua Gold Series which uses nanoscopic gold particles which sit within the hair cuticle providing a smooth finish and the effective conduction of heat. The outcome? A safe trialled and tested treatment which helps easily manage stubborn hair, leaving a shiny, healthy and naturally straight hair which is soft to the touch.
The whole process takes about 3-4 hours depending on the individual’s hair texture, type and thickness and is complete in six easy steps.
Before starting the process it is crucial to have a consultation so your hair stylist can assess your hair in terms of dryness and previous damage. This is the most important step, because if your hair is too damaged the treatment will not work and will actually worsen your hair quality. At this point your stylist will be able to quote your treatment, which is usually priced at $400, but this will also depend on your hair.
Step two involves a wash to rid the hair of any unnecessary products and a pre-treatment which provides the necessary overlay of products to ensure your hair is protected throughout the process.
The Yuko Hair Straightening solution is then applied until the hair is fully saturated. The solution will need to sit in the hair, giving it enough time to change its internal structure.
The hair then needs to be washed, shampooed, conditioned and dried, ensuring that all remaining solution is completely removed from the hair. The hair is then dried and prepped for straightening.
You must straighten the hair with a flat iron to create the silky straight shape. Due to the hair being internally restructured, whatever is don’t at this point in time will determine the end result. Therefore this is an important step and the hair must be completely straight.
The final step involves applying the neutraliser which conditions and finalises the newly straightened hair. The stylist will then rinse the neutraliser and style the hair one last time to reveal the final result.
Although it seems to be a lengthy process, this treatment is definitely worth the trouble as the Yuko system differs from the other permanent straightening systems. It works chemically to both straighten the hair but also maintains and restores the health of your hair at the same time.
Forget worrying about getting your styled hair wet in the rain or when swimming as your hair will dry silky straight. You may also find yourself feeling more confident and the time it takes you to get ready in the morning will be cut in half!
